Robert P. Siriano, Sr.

November 9, 1936 ~ July 16, 2020 (age 83)



Mr. Robert P. Siriano, Sr. age 83 passed away on Thursday July 16, 2020 at the Abraham House in Rome, NY, with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Utica on November 9, 1936, a son of the late Harold and Adeline Bish Siriano and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy.  On November 13, 1954 he was married to Jane DeMichele in Holy Trinity Church, a blessed union of 65 years.

Bob was employed with the Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. for over 30 years until his retirement.  In his younger years, Bob greatest pleasure was attending the sporting events of each of his 5 boys, never missing a game.  Bob also had a passion for fishing and enjoyed the outdoors.  Bob had a cherished relationship with his daughter, Lori, who was present daily to assist with Bob’s care when he became ill over the past several years.  Bob had tremendous devotion to his loving wife, Jane.  They enjoyed many trips to Vernon Downs together over the years and had a love for horses and horse racing.  They also enjoyed their many trips to the casinos together. 

Surviving are his beloved wife, Jane; one daughter and son-in-law, Lori and James Sheheen; five sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Jr., and Rose Siriano, David and Cindy Siriano, Richard and Jodee Siriano, Steven Siriano and Marisa Giuliano, Michael Siriano; 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Bob was predeceased by one brother, Harold Siriano Jr.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the staff of the Abraham House for the excellent care and kindness provided to Bob.
