Stanley R. Boris

Stanley R. Boris, age 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 24, 1936 in Utica, a son of the late Stanley R. and Evelyn (Dukette) Boris. Stanley graduated from Proctor. He bravely served his country with the United States Marine Corps. during the Korean Conflict from 1954-1957. On January 24, 1959 he married the love of his life Mary Jean Cerullo in Utica, a blessed union of 64 years. Stanley worked as a buyer of integrated circuits for General Electric and would go on to work as a buyer for Centrex as his second career. A motivated man, he went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Utica University in 1979.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife Mary Jean; his children, Michael (Michele) Boris, Sylvan Beach, Anthony Boris, Schuyler, David (Tammy) Boris, West Virginia and Michele Gordon, Whitesboro; grandchildren, Michael Boris Jr., Roxanne Boris, Jennifer Roberts, Monica Boris, Amanda Boris, Joseph (Sarah) Boris, William (MacKenzie) Gordon and Alexis Gordon; several beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his brother, Bill (Judy) Boris. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Judi Boris; son-in-law, Todd Gordon and his sister and 3 brothers.

Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 11 am at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish (Our Lady of Lourdes Campus) where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. He will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Utica.
