Thomas Morosco

Mr. Thomas Morosco age 69, of Yorkville passed away on Saturday January 16, 2021 at the Siegenthaler Center of Hospice, after a brief illness, with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Utica on December 17, 1951 a son of the late Joseph T. and Jennie Fricano Morosco having graduated from Whitesboro High School. Tom also received his Electrical Degree from BOCES. On June 4, 1977 he was married to Christine Swienski in Holy Trinity Church, a loving and blessed union of 43 years.

Tom was a Master Electrician by trade and began his work career with Funicello Electric Co. In 1992, Tom established his own Electrical Company, “TM Electric" and continued to serve the community with dedication and excellence until his passing.

Tom was a devoted lifetime member of the Yorkville Fire Dept., and at one time served as Assistant Chief. He was also a member of the Sharp Shooters Club of Forestport. Tom’s true passion however was his love of cars. He was known for his award winning 1967 Chevelle SS. You would always find Tom at the local car shows, reveling in his Chevelle with his many friends. Although Tom enjoyed his recreational life, his true love was for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose life centered around his family, especially his two cherished granddaughters Elise and Lilly, who Tom would call his “Little Ladies”. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Surviving are his beloved wife Christine; two beloved daughters Laurie and husband Drew Conover of Whitesboro and Regina Morosco and fiancé Jason Gadziala of MA.; his cherished granddaughters Elise and Lilly Conover; two sisters Rose (Robert) Konowalski and Marie Morosco (Carol Trzepacz); two brothers Joseph Morosco (Laurie Cavoly) and David Morosco (Lisa Light); and his sister-in-law Linda Swienski; his nieces and nephews Nicholas Morosco, Alessandra (Eric) Morosco-Davis and Julie (Jeff) Schaefer and several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by one brother John Michael Morosco who passed away at the age of 4.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday January 23, 2021 from 11:00 am until the commencement of the funeral at 1:00 pm at the Church of the Sacred Heart & St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa, 201 Main St. NY Mills, NY. His Mass of Christian Burial will be at the conclusion of visitation at 1:00 pm in church. Private interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Yorkville Fire Dept. in memory of Tom. Envelopes will be available.

The family would like to thank Dr. Alicia DeTraglia and staff at Faxton Cancer Center and the entire ICU staff at St. Luke's Hospital especially Dr. Koussa for their care and compassion

In keeping with CDC and NYS guidelines, face masks, social distancing and church trace signing are required.
