UTICA- Umaiya Al Aqaad, 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Syria on May 12, 1954 to Hassan and Kother Al Aqaad. Umaiya immigrated to the United States 13 years ago.
She is survived by her husband, Yahya; son, Aiman Al Hallaq and grandchildren, as well as several other loving family members.
Graveside services will be Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 3pm at the Bosnian Islamic Cemetery, Deerfield.
